A burning summer in Lisbon. 14-year-old David knows that his grandfather is going to die, but refuses to visit him out of fear of this loss. As for his mother, she spends whole nights at his bedside. The emptiness that his grandfather’s absence has already created forces David to become the man of the house. He doesn’t feel ready.
