Each year, the Poitiers Film Festival shines the spotlight on a country where film is being reinvented.
In 2024, the Festival was selected by the Institut Français to be one of the key events in the France-Lithuania Season. As part of this initiative, the Festival has partnered up with the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA), the only higher education institution that specializes in film in Lithuania, as well as Lithuanian Shorts, an organization that promotes and distributes Lithuanian short films.
For filmgoers, this Lithuanian Focus will present the opportunity to discover young filmmakers’ first features – previously unreleased in France – as well as unique and eclectic short films.
