Jurys

International Selection

Marie Amachoukeli trained at La Fémis. She wrote and directed, with Claire Burger, the film Forbach (Jury’s Special Prize at the Poitiers Film Festival 2008 and Grand Prize at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival), then C’est gratuit pour les filles (César Award for Best Short Film), and finally Demolition Party. In 2014, they transitioned to feature films with Party Girl (Caméra d’Or – Festival de Cannes). She continued solo with the film Àma Gloria [p.29], which opened the Cannes Critics’ Week in 2023.

Lucrèce Andreae graduated from Gobelins and La Poudrière, where she directed Trois petits points and Les Mots de la carpe, both selected for the Poitiers Film Festival. After working on other projects, she directed Pépé le morse, a short film selected for numerous festivals including Cannes and Annecy, and which won the César Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2018. She also released a graphic novel in 2020 (Flipette & Vénère, published by Delcourt) and is currently working with Miyu Productions on an animated feature film entitled Bergeronnette.

Jamal Belmahi, screenwriter
Jamal Belmahi writes for television and cinema (Six pieds sur Terre by Karim Bensalah, Les Chevaux de Dieu by Nabil Ayouch, Adieu l’Afrique by Pierre-Alain Meier). He is a screenplay consultant for feature films and series in the Arab world and in France. He contributes to writing residencies and film schools. He is one of the founding members of the SCA, the scriptwriters’ guild.

Quentin Dolmaire, actor
Quentin Dolmaire began acting in theatre at the age of 10. In 2015, he landed the lead role in Arnaud Desplechin’s film Trois souvenirs de ma jeunesse (My Golden Days), for which he was nominated for a César Award. He went on to appear in films by Michel Hazanavicius, Nadav Lapid, Sébastien Betbeder and others. On the small screen, he stood out in the series OVNI(S), directed by Antony Cordier. His performance as Stéphane in Fifi earned him the Best Actor Award at the Premiers Plans d’Angers Film Festival.

Mathilde Delaunay began her career in 2011 at Ecce Films after studying literature and cinema. She has been producing shorts, documentaries, and features since 2020 through her company Barberousse Films (Le Feu au lac – Cannes 2022, Castells – Locarno 2022, Barking in the Dark, Wonderwall – Cannes 2025, Grand Prix Côté Court) and is currently accompanying Pierre Menahem and Róisín Burns on their debut feature films.

Esther Brejon
Esther Brejon is a journalist and film critic. She produces features for the programme Forever Cinéma on Ciné+ and writes regularly for Rockyrama and Sorociné. She is a member of the selection committee for short films at Critics’ Week.

Axel Cadieux
Axel Cadieux is editor-in-chief of Sofilm magazine and author of a dozen books on Michael Mann, Paul Verhoeven, Eyes Wide Shut, Twin Peaks and genre cinema in France.

Camille Griner
Camille Griner contributes to Sofilm, Zone Critique and Cult.news. She also works as a screenwriter, director and casting director. She is currently writing her first essay on cinema and preparing to shoot her new short film.

Collectif 50/50 fights for equality and inclusion in television and film. The association develops actions (inclusive directory, 50/50 bible, mentoring program, etc.), develops studies with data, especially regarding the place of women in the industry, and proposes incentivizing measures to public authorities and the different actors in film to accelerate change.

Since 1983, “L’Agence du court métrage” has been a central actor in the distribution of short films. A place for scouting and discovering new talents and for laying the groundwork for new distribution markets, the Agency is dedicated to working alongside directors, production companies, and distributors.

“Maison du Film” is an association open to all that aims to foster the initial professionalization of French film talents. Through its initiatives (Trio residency, Screenplay Experience…), its training programs, and its spotlight operations (the LABELS, L’autoprod’…), “Maison du Film” networks and accompanies individuals across all professional categories throughout the year.

Manifest
Manifest currently operates as a distributor (sales and festivals) with a catalogue of over 500 films, representing more than 70 production companies and manages between 60 and 70 films each year. In 2024, Manifest won the César Award for Best Fiction Short Film, the Palme d’Or at the Festival de Cannes, the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film, and the Distributor Award presented by Unifrance.

Ville de Cannes

Ville de Cannes
From May 4 to 6, 2026, the second edition of the International Festival of Film School Productions, organized by the city of Cannes, will take place. The event will present 4 programs of shorts, scouted from the Poitiers Film Festival. The city of Cannes is tasking 5 film students to carry out this selection process and award the Creative Writing Prize. It is also accompanying the Jump In initiative by offering a residency at the Noailles Library to a young talent from the workshops.
