In partnership with la PEÑA, the Festival is offering a case study on the feature-length documentary Le Veilleur, directed by Victoire Bonin and Lou du Pontavice, and co-produced by Hutong Production, a company based in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The producers and one of the directors will share the various stages involved in the making of the film, from writing to distribution.
Speed meetings

Since 2024, the Poitiers Film Festival has been organizing meetings between the filmmakers from the Selections and production companies specially invited to the Festival. The goal is to showcase the work and projects of these young talents and encourage collaborations.

The Jump In program (Poitiers Film Festival) and the Full Circle Lab (Tatino Films) are both committed to accompanying emerging projects. So it is only natural that these two initiatives – rooted in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and open to international collaboration – join forces for a day.
This year, 12 filmmakers will present their projects, including 11 debut films, to a panel of industry professionals over the course of a pitch session. The guest producers, distributors, and sales agents will then meet in the afternoon with the participating filmmakers and producers in order to continue the conversation.

The FJPI connects young production companies with players from the cinema, television, and web industries. Through professional meetings, it enables them to develop relationships throughout the year with financiers, writers, technical service providers, and producers. The FJPI currently represents more than 130 production companies. It is present at the Poitiers Film Festival, in particular for a master class as part of the “Talents en Court” initiative.
Silence&Conversation
Meeting with the filmmakers of the International Selection

A specialist in film project development and supporting writers and directors for over 30 years, Isabelle Fauvel is leading a conversation with filmmakers from the International Selection. An opportunity to discuss professional integration after film school, artistic collaborations, and searching for funding, and to answer the questions of this up-and-coming generation in the face of changes in the industry.

Founded in 2020, the association now brings together 19 film festivals from the region. It initiates thematic study days (eco-responsible transition, work and social issues, inclusion).
It is meeting in Poitiers to establish the road map for 2026.

Created in April 2017, the PEÑA association brings together delegated production companies spread across the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, representing all genres, techniques, and formats. Territoire(s) d’Images, the annual event organized by PEÑA, is aimed at the entire cinema and audiovisual sector in the region. The theme of this 9th edition is Cooperation and pooling resources: the future of independent cinema?
