The Poitiers Film Festival is back with a fantastic 46th edition!
Showcasing debuts and discoveries, the International Selection features the best of school films through 8 short film programs. An opportunity for filmgoers and industry professionals to glimpse up-and-coming talents, who come from all over the world to walk the red carpet for the first time in Poitiers.
This year’s destination: Beirut! The Festival is inviting a new generation of Lebanese filmmakers for whom this city – perpetually reconstructed and reborn – is a character in its own right. First features, shorts, meetings, and tastings make up this Focus shining the spotlight on Lebanon’s great capital city.
Meanwhile, watch out for monsters! Werewolves, zombies, and other evil creatures: who are the monsters of French film today? Begin to answer that question with films such as Titane by Julia Ducournau, Teddy by Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma, or Zombi Child by Bertrand Bonello. On the agenda: horror films, masterclasses, cinema-concerts, group warmup sessions, a zombie walk, and more…
With previews, special screenings, events for families and for fun, this promises to be an exciting week of fantastic films!
