The French Union of Film Critics is composed of 380 members, writers, and journalists, all of whom are film critics. It aims to share its expertise, defend and legitimate this profession via numerous events intended for different and varied audiences, and cultivate the spirit of film critique.

Collectif 50/50
Collectif 50/50 fights for equality and inclusion in television and film. The association develops actions (inclusive directory, 50/50 bible, mentoring program, etc.), develops studies with data, especially regarding the place of women in the industry, and proposes incentivizing measures to public authorities and the different actors in film to accelerate change.

City of Cannes' Jury

City of Cannes
From May 4 to 6, 2026, the second edition of the International Festival of Film School Productions, organized by the city of Cannes, will take place. The event will present 4 programs of shorts, scouted from the Poitiers Film Festival. The city of Cannes is tasking 5 film students to carry out this selection process and award the Creative Writing Prize. It is also accompanying the Jump In initiative by offering a residency at the Noailles Library to a young talent from the workshops.

Since 1983, “L’Agence du court métrage” has been a central actor in the distribution of short films. A place for scouting and discovering new talents and for laying the groundwork for new distribution markets, the Agency is dedicated to working alongside directors, production companies, and distributors.

Maison du Film

Maison du Film
“Maison du Film” is an association open to all that aims to foster the initial professionalization of French film talents. Through its initiatives (Trio residency, Screenplay Experience…), its training programs, and its spotlight operations (the LABELS, L’autoprod’…), “Maison du Film” networks and accompanies individuals across all professional categories throughout the year.

Manifest

Manifest
Manifest currently operates as a distributor (sales and festivals) with a catalogue of over 500 films, representing more than 70 production companies and manages between 60 and 70 films each year. In 2024, Manifest won the César Award for Best Fiction Short Film, the Palme d’Or at the Festival de Cannes, the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film, and the Distributor Award presented by Unifrance.

Short Film Corner
The SFC | Rendez-vous Industry, a Festival de Cannes initiative, incites reflection on cinema and short films and galvanizes interactions between professionals. The 4-day program is built around several key moments: presentation of the projects in development and production, the New Producers Room, master classes, Industry Panels, Directors’ Talks, Workshops, and professional meetings…
