This year, our Focus takes us to our Belgian neighbors, where schools train numerous inspired filmmakers in Flemish and French. Through the selected shorts and feature films, the program highlights how the new generation is crafting cinema rooted in intimacy and reality. Their films explore contemporary subjects, while skillfully navigating tenderness and adversity. Belgian humor is also on the bill: a screening with live music of the slapstick comedy “Panique !!” will have filmgoers of all ages roaring with laughter.
