Emerging talents and plenty of discoveries are once again coming to the Poitiers Film Festival! Renowned for the quality of its films, the International Selection unveils new talents, bringing filmmakers, film-goers, and professionals together around school films.

This year, the Festival is shining the spotlight on Portugal with “Um Novo Novo Cinema!” Screenings, meetings, and tastings will light up this week dedicated to Portuguese schools, which have given rise to a generation of filmmakers that are already internationally renowned.

With French Side Story, sway to the rhythm of musical comedies! More Frenchy than ever, this genre is renewing itself with filmmakers such as Leos Carax, Noémie Lvovsky, the Larrieu brothers, and more… Blind-test, conferences, karaoke, and group warmup sessions: there will be plenty of reasons to belt out a tune!

Previews, special screenings, events for families – including a cinema-concert by Florent Marchet and the screening of The Young Girls of Rochefort – will complete this 45^th edition revolving around the cinema of tomorrow.
